For tutors, we collect name, email, phone number, profile information, subjects, rates, location, DBS certificate details and payment information. For clients sending enquiries, we collect name, email, phone number, subject interest and message content.

Tutors provide their listing information for the purpose of being marketed publicly. Because of this, we recommend tutors use business contact details — a dedicated email address and, where possible, a separate phone number — rather than personal ones.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to operate the platform, display tutor profiles, deliver enquiries to tutors, process subscriptions, communicate with users and improve our services.

4. Sharing

Tutor listings are publicly visible and are actively marketed: they can be indexed by search engines, shown in third-party search results and summarised by AI assistants. Published listing fields are the tutor's display name, description, subjects and levels, general area (town or outward code), hourly rate, qualifications and any video link, plus contact details where the tutor has chosen to show them. Home address, exact postcode, DBS certificate numbers and uploaded certificate documents are never published. Enquiries are shared with the relevant tutor. We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as payment processors and hosting providers.

5. Storage and security

We store data securely using industry-standard providers and encryption. We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. DBS certificate details sent to us by email are stored privately, used only to confirm that a certificate exists, and are never published or shared with clients.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the platform.

7. Cookies
